Beta Club

Overview:  The National Beta Club, a student – centered organization, continually develops and nurtures individuals by providing opportunities and experiences enabling them to demonstrate the ideals of character, achievement, service and leadership in a global community (Vision Statement).   Membership is based on grades and is by invitation only.

Dates: Third Thursday of every month 7:30 - 8:00 in the Media Center

 

Book Club

Sponsor: Shannon Robertson 

Meeting Dates:   Tuesday mornings in the Media Center starting in September

Overview:  A fun way to socialize and READ! 

 

Builders Club

Sponsors:  Lisa Crowe, Donna Wright, Nicole Maldonado and Jennifer Walker

Builders Club is a student-led service organization for middle/junior high school students. The local Kiwanis Club of Brooklet serves as the SEBMS Builders Club sponsor. Members in this service organization are students who are interested in service to school and community. The objectives of Builders Club are to provide opportunities for working together in service to school and community, to develop leadership potential, to foster the development of a strong moral character, and to encourage loyalty to school, community, and nation.

 

Chess Club

Who Can Join?


One of the best experiences a child can have at school is to be part of a strong, enthusiastic school team. Many kids join teams that are built around a sports program, involvement in the arts like band or drama, or community service projects. Others find teams based on academic pursuits like math, academic quiz bowl, or … CHESS!  

Southeast Bulloch Middle School Chess Club    

Cost: $20

This includes a membership for the US Chess Federation.  USCF provides online access to Chess Life, the right to earn a chess rating in the official national rating system, and it is required to participate in local Chess Tournaments.

T-shirts and snacks will be handled separately.

Participation Deadlines:  The first meeting is on August 20th.  All Chess Club members should have their membership slip and fee by the second meeting date in September. 

 

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)

To see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes.

MISSION

To lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.

Activities will include:

Huddle meetings and devotion times

Game Day (District Rally and GSU Football Game)

Day of Champions (End of Year District Rally)

Camps

  •  All meetings will begin at 7:30 and will be held in the media center or gym.  Listen to announcements to know the location.

  • The CHRISTmas party will be immediately after school from 3:30-5:15 in the cafeteria.

Future Farmers of America (FFA)

"FFA is the world’s largest youth-led organization. The FFA engages students enrolled in agricultural education courses by providing  opportunities for premier leadership, personal growth and career success.
Since its beginning in 1928, the National FFA Organization has grown from 33 farm boys to over 600,000 students with a shared common goal to lead, learn and serve. 
The great thing about FFA is that you do not have to be a farmer or have grown up on a farm to join. This organization is open to students of all backgrounds and welcome to diversity. "

Annual Dues are being offered in two levels of membership:

Gold Membership Includes:

$50.00 (includes National, State, and Local Dues, Chapter t-shirt, and Region Rally)
Region Rally is a leadership opportunity for FFA Members.
Region Rally (Sept. 9) includes: Registration, Lunch & a T-Shirt

Blue Membership Includes:

$30.00 (includes National, State, and Local Dues with Chapter t-shirt)

 

Math Team

Student Council

Overview:  SEBMS Student Council is made up of student elected homeroom representatives. The motto for the council is Kids Helping Kids. Students organize different events to raise money to help kids, the school, and/or the community. Students have fun while at the same time gaining leadership skills.
