Get Georgia Reading

The Get Georgia Reading Campaign is underway. You now have access to more than 10,400 FREE books that you can download to a computer and/or mobile devices and access 24 hours a day—every day—through Aug. 31. Last year, kids read more then 100,000 books.

Congratulations - Honorable Mention!

TAG Education Collaborative, Atlanta Science Festival, and HowStuffWorks Launch 4th Annual Middle School Web Design Competition Southeast Bulloch Middle School's Cosmic Storm Team consisting of eighth graders: Jacob Buck, Drew Davis, and Zane Hawkins scored a honorable mention. Teams receiving honorable mention will have their content featured on a site hosted by our 2016 partner, HowStuffWorks.com.  The content will be hosted for one year and will be linked to from the HowStuffWorks homepage which receives over 30 million visits every month!  Congratulations to Cosmic Storm Team and their teacher Mary Jones on being recognized for their creativity and hard work!

The Public School Choice (HB 251)

The school system's window for parents/guardians to make transfer requests in accordance with public school choice (House Bill 251) legislation is May 2 - May 20.


Letters will be sent home to parents tomorrow, and we have placed the information in our community's legal organ, The Statesboro Herald. Parents will also receive a call and email via our electronic messaging system on April 29.
